During the starry sky of Norway on the 30th of December, I decided to make some pictures up in the mountains. A nice surprise when the Northern Lights decided to appear infront of my very eyes!

Middle-earth

When it gets cold in Norway, it really does get cold. Never before have I seen a landscape become so different so quickly, not to mention that this place looks like a snow covered Middle-earth!

The Ocean

Well the ocean is no doubt a force to be reckoned with. It can be seen as beautiful or destructive. I haven’t seen it’s dark side yet, a good thing to seeing as I spend most of my time there in the summer. If I go then it’s in Anglet, France. On rare occasions the waves become huge and crash right by the shore, attracting many people that are looking for an adrenalin rush. Last time this happened I decided to jump in with my GoPro HD in my hand and record the waves, this was the outcome:

Brainfreeze

This is a special one, most probably because it’s a team effort. In class we were told to make a video with the theme being “Winter”. Seeing as we had no idea what to do because of the non-winter like conditions outside, we finally came up with the idea of freezing someone to death. How charming. The idea was to have someone wake up after an enormous party at his house only to wind up in the kitchen making the imposible decision of which pizza to bake. After a wake-up coffee he pours himself some Jack Daniels and walks outside only to see the aftermath of the party. At this point it’s worth mentioning we were all heavily inspired by Jeffrey “The Dude” Lebowski, hence the marijuana, alcohol and outdoor yoga. The radio changes channels to inform him that a freak storm is nearing and it’s going to get quite cold. Naturally he does everything he can to stay warm but gets hungry in doing so. After sitting down to enjoy his pizza he finds out it’s still frozen. How the? Oh that’s right it’s cold outside and the FIRE ITSELF froze up, naturally meaning it wouldn’t take too long for him to freeze.

I’d like to explain the ending where he walks by himself, unfortunately I have no idea why we did that ending. I guess probably because we wanted to confuse the heck out of the viewers. Quite the mystery. Anyway here is the video:

A movie without sound… boring? Right. So when were given a video with no sound we were told by our teacher that we were going to add the sound ourself. ‘Twas hard. First we had to compose our own song to accompany the video. So after we were given 1000000000 little music files, we had to stick them together to make it sound like something that sounded like a song. After about an hour I managed to compose a little diddle that fit well with the video, so that was done. NOW we had to add the sound effects. That was the easy part. I have about a millions sites where I can download royalty free sound effects so I had them all in no time

After putting it all together I came up with the following:

Guild of Stags

The day Krezip fell apart was a sad day. No i’m just joking, I didn’t really like them that much. Some of the ex-members created a new group called “Guild of Stags” An agency asked me to make a little promotional video for them to launch their first track. A challenge? Challenge accepted. They wanted me to run around in the forest pretending I was being chased by several vicious deer. So I strapped my little GoPro camera on my forehead and ran like crazy through some godforsaken forest in the middle of the dunes. After removing 14 ticks from my legs I sat down in front of the computer and started editing. It took a while… and after nearly forgetting the meaning of “do it again” because of hearing again “do it again” it was done.

Here it is!

I laugh everytime I look at my failed attempt to stick the deer in and make it seem natural… so bad it’s funny haha!

Antwerp!

So our school decided to organize a trip to Antwerp! How fun? Turns out it was great fun, and it really brought the classmates closer together. Some of my friends decided to take the video camera with them to record our EPIC adventures… haha! So we were recording pointlessly around the city… but then decided to actually make something out of this. So when we got back I gathered the clips we filmed and made a trailer for the movie a friend of mine, Thomas was going to edit.
